Our story

Stepwell started with a phone call no one wants to get — a parent who'd fallen on the stairs at home.

We went looking for a fix and found only two options: ugly safety tape that shouts “hazard” in the middle of a family home, or expensive carpet runners that needed a tradesperson to fit. Neither felt right.

So we made the thing we wished existed: a grip that's pre-cut to fit, holds socks, paws and bare feet, and all but disappears into the step. Safety you feel underfoot, not something you see from the hallway.

What we believe

• Safety shouldn't be ugly. Good design belongs on the stairs too.
• It should be easy. No tools, no tradesperson, no mess — ten minutes and you're done.
• It should last. Engineered to withstand years of daily foot traffic without wearing down or peeling.
