The secret is prep: wipe each step with rubbing alcohol, let it dry fully, then press the tread down firmly with the included roller. Good prep is the difference between grip that lasts years and one that lifts.
Our Clear treads are made for indoor stairs. For exposed outdoor steps that cop wind, rain and snow, choose the Black grit finish, which is built to handle the weather. Indoors, the Clear set will outlast your stairs.
On normal sealed timber, tile and laminate they lift away cleanly. The one caveat: on freshly refinished or delicate finishes, place each tread correctly the first time, because yanking a strip off brand-new finish can lift it. Applied with care, they reposition fine.
