Size Guide

SteadyStep grip strips are available in two sizes:

4" × 24"
Best for narrower stair treads or customers wanting a more discreet, low-profile look.

6" × 24"
Provides a larger gripping surface and is ideal for customers wanting maximum coverage and traction.

Which Size Should I Choose?

Both sizes are 24 inches wide and designed to fit comfortably across most residential stair treads.

Choose 4" × 24" if you want a smaller, more subtle grip area.

Choose 6" × 24" if you prefer more tread coverage and a larger surface for your foot or pet to grip.

How Many Do I Need?

We recommend using one grip strip per stair tread.

Each SteadyStep pack includes 15 grip strips, covering a staircase with up to 15 steps.

For staircases with more than 15 steps, we recommend ordering an additional pack.

Before Ordering

Measure the width and depth of your stair treads to make sure your preferred size fits comfortably.

For best results, install each strip:

  • Horizontally across the stair tread

  • Centred on the step

  • Slightly back from the front edge

  • On a clean, dry, smooth surface

Keeping each strip positioned consistently will give your staircase the cleanest finished look.
