Measuring guide

Getting the right size takes two minutes and a tape measure. Here's how.

1. Measure your tread width

Measure the full left-to-right width of a step. Most home staircases are 24–36” wide. Our grips are sized to sit centred with a clean margin on each side.

2. Measure your tread depth

Measure front-to-back, from the nosing (front edge) to the riser. This decides whether you want our standard or deep grip.

• 4 × 24” — standard tread depth.
• 6 × 24” — standard depth, wider grip surface.
• 6 × 30” — deep or oversized treads.

3. Count your steps

Count the treads you want to cover (you can skip the bottom floor and top landing). Choose the pack that covers that many steps — our multi-packs cover most full staircases.

4. Choose your finish

Clear disappears into timber and light stairs; Black suits darker treads and outdoor steps. Both work indoors and out.
