They didn't stop and think about it.

They just went up.

They just came back down.

It was completely normal.

Now Every Trip Upstairs Feels Different

They stop.

They look up.

They wait for you.

You can see they’re scared.

And Now You’re Helping Them Every Time

Calling them up.

Waiting at the bottom

Lifting them when they won't go.

Wondering if the next slip is the one that actually hurts them.

You Just Want Them Doing It On Their Own Again

No crying.

No waiting at the bottom.

No carrying them upstairs.

Just seeing them move around the house like they used to.

Sometimes, They Just Need More Grip

To their paws, smooth hardwood can feel like an ice rink.

And after one too many slips, they start hesitating at every step.

Now you’re not just watching them struggle, you’re wondering whether your dogs next slip ends with an injury or a trip to the vet.

Give Them The Freedom Back To Follow You Upstairs

A simple way to help your dog feel steadier, safer and more confident on the stairs again.

More grip. Same beautiful stairs.

SteadyStep adds extra traction to smooth household stairs without the bulky look of carpet treads or industrial grip tape. Choose Clear for a subtle finish or Black for a more defined look.

Perfect for:

  • Dogs that struggle for grip
  • Kids & older family members
  • Socks and bare feet
  • Smooth timber & hardwood stairs

4" × 24" — designed to suit most Australian household staircases. Simple DIY application.

Keep the stairs you love. Add the grip they’re missing.

Prep: Give each tread a quick wipe with contact cleaner and let it dry. Clean, dry timber is all the adhesive needs.

Position: With the backing still on, rest the strip about a finger-width back from the front edge and centre it. That's where your foot naturally lands.

Peel & stick: Peel back a few centimetres of backing, press that edge down, then draw the rest away as you smooth the strip flat. If it's sitting a little crooked, lift it gently and lay it again. Nothing is locked in until you press.

Press: Roll firmly over the whole strip, edges included. This is what sets the bond.

Cure: Walk on them lightly straight away. Give it 24 hours before heavy traffic or mopping.

Shipping: Order today, it ships tomorrow. Free on orders over $150 and on every multi-pack. You'll get a tracking link by email the moment it leaves us.

Returns: Hassle-free returns within 30 days. Email us with a photo of the pack and we'll sort a refund, no forms or fuss.

Damaged or missing? Send a photo and we'll ship a replacement straight away. No need to return anything.

SteadyStep is designed to grip securely without damaging the surface underneath. For painted, refinished, or delicate surfaces, we recommend testing a small hidden area first.

Grip without the harsh, gritty feel of traditional anti-slip tape.

We developed SoftGrip™ because adding traction shouldn’t mean covering your stairs in carpet or sticking rough, abrasive tape to every step.

Its textured surface gives paws, socks and bare feet more traction on smooth stairs, while staying comfortable underfoot and letting the stairs underneath show through.
